Occasionally, I have the odd thought about whether we exist in different dimensions. For example - and bear with me on this - are the ghostly goings on and "bumps in the night" just very brief crossovers from other dimensions? Probably not. And, yes, I'm probably talking rubbish. But I do think there is a very real "sub-existence" that is going on around us. The "social-networking sub conversations".....
My prime example is the Twitter relationship I have now formed with my colleague Darren "drivetime" Scott. Only today in a meeting, we caught ourselves making reference to a communication we had had via twitter....actually regarding a certain fave pop singer of Mr Scott......and then realised that no one else around us had a clue what we were talking about. So what had actually happened is that we had transferred a chat we were having in cyberspace into a room where we were having a meeting and made a connection again because of it - at the expense of others.
Be frightened, be very frightened. Look around you and wonder if all these people surrounding you are having sub-conversations that you don't know about and never will.
Me? Paranoid?.............Why are you saying that?
